A Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines Training on the 2022 Revised Social and Emotional Development Domain In this session, participants will deepen their understanding of social and emotional development and learn how to promote healthy social-emotional growth in their young learners. This session aims to assist teachers to better understand effective instructional practices and learning experiences that strengthen cognitive skills, as well as social and emotional competencies required for school readiness and success in life. We will dive into child outcomes for the following skills: self-concept, self-regulation, relationships with others, and social awareness.  The session will provide opportunities for collaboration, reflection, and goal-setting to apply new learning to individual classroom contexts. By the end of the session, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of how to promote social and emotional development in the Pre-K setting, and feel empowered to implement these practices in their classrooms. They will be able to create a learning environment that fosters the growth of resilient.
