Responding to reading helps readers construct meaning, process content and increase levels of comprehension. In this two-part series, participants will learn research-based strategies that will support students in crafting quality responses that demonstrate a student’s depth of thinking & level of mastery. Come ready to explore and share ways to help your students succeed using authentic text and high-yield practices.
During part one (November), participants will engage in a 3 hour learning experience to explore strategies that will prompt student response.
In part two (February), participants will reconvene face-to-face to collaborate around student work samples and evaluate ways to elevate student thinking & extend their responses.
