Classroom Book Clubs Made Easy: Grades K-2
Share
Would you like to spark interest and excitement for reading while building comprehension in your classroom? Poetry and comprehension can pose challenges in the classroom for both teachers and students. An engaging way to spark interest and creativity is through "Poetry Slams" and Book Clubs. These learning vehicles allow your students to collaborate with others about a book and build all Figure 19 comprehension skills. Children learn to enjoy reading with Book Clubs! This session will share ideas and strategies for setting up and implementing Book Clubs in your classroom from structures to possible culminating activities and events.
