Nurturing Young Writers: Grades K-2




Are you overwhelmed with the Writer's Workshop model? Do you need ideas, strategies and structures to encourage your students to see themselves as writers? This session will focus on the Writer's Workshop model (framework), including writer's craft, writing process, using mentor text, and conferencing. Participants will also be provided ideas for planning, organizing and creating a nurturing writing environment to encourage teachers and students to take risks in writing multiple genres.
