Engaging Learners: The Role of Literacy in Successful Student Centered Learning (ALISEN)

The training focuses on the role of literacy in successful student centered environments.This represents a paradigm shift in how to plan instruction to include literacy so that students can be successful working at the appropriate level of rigor. Best practice strategies and routines will be reviewed during this session. Teachers will be challenged to reflect on their own instruction. During this session you will be introduced to the Active Learning Institute for Student Engagement Network (ALISEN).
Important Session Information:
Participants can receive up to 6 hours credit if they choose to stay after lunch and plan using the materials and knowledge gained from the training.
