Digging up Math Concepts in Science
5-8 Grade




Mathematics is an essential component of contemporary science. Through science activities incorporating Math, Science and Technology, students not only develop a deeper understanding of key mathematical and scientific concepts, they learn how to apply those concepts in the context of science exploration. Join us as we dig up Earth's history and relate the limitless options in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, or STEM fields while promoting inquiry through real world applications. This is a two-day session focused on 5th-8th grade math and science TEKS; however, either day could be considered a stand-alone session.
