PBL 3.0: Passion-Based Learning




What if the learners in your classroom could learn by exploring their passions? What if you could engage and empower by providing opportunities for them to create solutions to real problems?  Passion-based learning, otherwise known as Genius Hour, is all about giving students an opportunity to learn on their terms.  This learning experience will give you the tools that you need to engage students in passion-based learning as well as make the experience meaningful for the students and manageable for you.  We will explore the 6 P’s of Genius Hour as I share with you how to create a system that will help Genius Hour run itself.  In doing so, you will become the lead learner and learn with your students, while providing opportunities for them to apply the TEKS.

This learning experience is designed as a blended approach to professional development and will include outside learning opportunities before and/or after the face to face/live meeting in order to earn full credit. Please be sure to note the start and end times.
