Math Meets Genius Hour Grades 6-8




What if you could make your math classroom the one kids can’t wait to come to…and still teach the TEKS?  What if students are so excited about what they’re learning, they can’t help but share?  This type of experience can be a reality through passion-based learning.  Genius Hour gives students an opportunity to make connections and deepen understanding by pursuing their passions.  When Genius Hour meets math, students will explore the TEKS by learning through meaningful application.  In this session, you will be given practical tips and resources on how to incorporate Genius Hour into your math curriculum.
