Genre Writing, Grades 4-8
Share
Create passion, power and purpose in students’ writing through the use of mentor texts. Join this session to support your writers through reading across genres and learn to closely examine the author’s craft. Bring your favorite pieces of literature to use throughout this session as we dissect text through the students’ lens. As you apply these strategies, expect students to mimic their favorite author’s due to the natural curiosity and high interest when learning from the expert.
In this interactive session we will build a purposeful writer’s notebook with strategies to support diverse classroom needs.
