Assessing for Dyslexia within a Special Education Full Individual Evaluation (FIE)
Blended Session




This session will assist Multidisciplinary Evaluation Teams in understanding the dyslexia identification process. Discussions will include the elements of reading, what is dyslexia, and the process for the evaluation for dyslexia in Texas. It includes a review of domains to assess for dyslexia, including achievement, cognitive processes, and other related areas. Participants will learn how to incorporate these elements into a special education full individual evaluation.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes 4.5 hours of face to face professional development from 9:00am - 2:00pm accompanied by 1.5 hours of outside learning experience.

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date. Please pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session.
