Teaching about the Holocaust
Grades 6-12, ELA/R and Social Studies

Join ESC Region 12 as we partner with the Dallas Holocaust Museum Center for Education and Tolerance for a FREE workshop helping educators learn how to teach about the Holocaust. Social Studies, History and ELA teachers for grades 6-12 are invited to attend this engaging one-day program. The workshop includes a lecture about teaching the Holocaust, an introduction to online Holocaust teacher resources and a hands-on lesson activity to implement in the classroom.

We’re also excited to feature a three-hour Echos and Reflections teacher training. Echoes and Reflections is a multimedia interdisciplinary program that provides U.S. secondary educators with print and online resources to teach about the Holocaust in today's classrooms. The program uses informational texts and primary source documents to incorporate compelling visual history testimony into multi-part modular lessons that engage students in the lives of survivors, rescuers, liberators, and other witnesses of the Holocaust.
