Meaningful Makerspaces

The Makerspace Movement is changing the way students learn as well as the role of the teacher in today’s classroom.  How can you use maker activities to build grit, encourage problem solving, and create meaningful learning experiences for the learners in your classroom? As part of this experience, you will participate in an activity that will help you see a maker activity from the learner’s perspective.   Most importantly, you will be given an opportunity to practice designing maker challenges that will incorporate the TEKS, provide relevance, and empower learners by allowing them to learn by doing.

Important Session Information:

This learning experience is designed as a blended approach to professional development and will include outside learning opportunities before and/or after the face to face/live meeting in order to earn full credit.  Please be sure to note the start and end times.

Please be sure to bring a device.
