Multi-Sensory Books to Support Literacy for Students with Multiple Impairments
Blended Learning Session

Multi-sensory books are a great way to foster the development of literacy skills in students with significant disabilities. Join this one hour webinar to learn about experience books, objects books, routine books, and theme books to support independence and concept development. Participants who attend this webinar are invited to a makerspace to create multi-sensory books. The makerspace schedule will be shared at the end of the webinar for flexibility in creating multi-sensory books. Materials will be provided for teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers of students with multiple disabilities.  

Do not miss the opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12. This 8 hour session includes 2 hours of outside online learning experience.

Important Session Information:

This is a blended learning session (a combination of online and face-to-face learning), therefore the registration deadline for this session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date. Please pay careful attention to the start and end times for this session. Participants may stay after the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience/assignment.
