Share
This annual regional CTE Conference will provide excellence in Career & Technical Education. CTE is at the forefront of educational reform and is leading dynamic change that will positively impact students across the nation for the next decade and beyond. Join us for a premier professional learning experience to help teachers, counselors and administrators enhance their skills and continue to build partnerships with all stakeholders in the education of our future workforce. Connect 3 is a fast-paced event focused on student success through CTE and workforce training. Learn more about CTE TEKS, effective practices in CTE, student engagement, industry certification, instructional partnerships and labor market and career information. Presentations will also include timely legislative and regulatory updates.
Important Session Information:
Each school district is responsible for ensuring that each teacher assigned to this course has completed appropriate training in state and federal requirements regarding work-based learning and safety. This workshop is required for all teachers teaching Career Preparation or Practicum courses. Work-based learning programs provide internships, mentoring, workplace simulations, and apprenticeships along with classroom-based study. In a work-based learning program, classroom instruction is linked to workplace skills through placements outside of the school that allow students to experience first-hand what adults do in jobs.
Perkins SSA, CTE Co-op and Counselors Co-op attend at no charge.
