Blended Session




Are you confident in creating passionate writers? This 3 day session will focus on best practices for implementing the writing process in your classroom.  Day one will focus on the planning and brainstorming phase as well as integrating grammar and conventions.  Day two will explore the drafting and edit/revise phases.  Day three will provide the opportunity for participants to bring writing samples to score and decide on next steps.  All three days will provide an opportunity for collaborating and sharing ideas.  

Important Session Information:


Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 18-hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 15 hours of face-to-face professional development (5 hours per day from 9:00am - 3:00pm) accompanied by 3 hours of outside learning experience (1 hour per day). Participants are required to attend all 3 days to receive full credit.

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date. Please pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session. Participants may stay at the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience.

Please bring your own device if possible.
