Increasing Motivation Using Badges
Blended Session for K-12




No longer do the girl and boy scouts get to experience badges and patches for themselves. The exciting new world of classroom badging is gradually taking off. We will explore the ideas of gamification, content mastery, and how those work to engage and motivate students. In this learning experience, we will discuss how to use badges, what options there are for issuing them, and how to make them. Unfortunately, there will be no sashes involved in this learning experience, but there might be a badge.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and virtual face-to-face learning. This 3 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 1.5 hours of virtual face-to-face professional development from 7:00pm - 8:30pm accompanied by 1.5 hour(s) of outside learning experience.

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the virtual face-to-face date. Please pay careful attention to the start and end times for the virtual face-to-face portion of this session.
