Building Teams for Threat Assessment




As schools become more aware of the need for safe practices regarding potential threats, the need for training and strategic response becomes of paramount concern as well. In this professional development, participants will learn of best practices in school threat assessment and will learn a process overview for establishing a threat assessment team to address targeted school violence prevention. 

Important Session Information:


School safety is evolving. In this day and time, there are many options to consider for keeping our children safe as they attend schools across Texas and our nation. Our community is rallying around our schools to unite and bring timely and valuable strategic planning to our schools to help with this important endeavor. Participants will learn throughout this professional development opportunity of best practices in school threat assessment, as well as a process overview of targeted school violence and prevention. 

Conducted by Sigma Threat Management Associates (www.sigmaTMA.com) and located at the Baylor campus at the Cashion Academic Building, 5th floor, in Waco, Texas, Best Practices in School Threat Assessment will benefit persons from multiple disciplines relative to student safety. Parking is available in front of the Cashion building, but may be limited. Additional parking is located at the East Campus parking garage, located at 246 Daughtrey Avenue.
