Sweet Science: An Introduction to Analytical Chemistry via Sugar
Join Dr. Elyssia Gallagher, Assistant Professor, Baylor University Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry as she helps secondary teachers explore how the "unseen" can actually be viewed using tools and indirect evidence in the secondary classroom. The session will use a forensic lens to introduce concepts and methods used in analytical chemistry. The morning will be full of experiential activities (sweet activities) and the afternoon will begin with a more in-depth look at the profession and then move to implementation planning/prep time. This will be a full day of sweet fun!
