School Violence Prevention: Best Practices for Student Safety

Student and educator safety involves comprehensive efforts that involve learning, planning, being prepared, and mitigating a crisis situation. In this training, participants will learn an overview of Mental Health Detection, understand signs of suicide ideation in teens and children, understand statistical information about school mass-casualty incidents, considerations for drilling, and how to report threats (bullying, suicide, or school violence) to help ensure student safety. Participants will also have an overview of the Standard Reunification Protocol (SRP), before making their own plans for keeping our campuses safe.

Important Session Information:
