The Power of Communication for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PK-12
Blended Session



The communication difficulties of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder are important skills to address in the classroom.  In this session participants will learn about communication needs, strategies, and interventions.  Strategies will be explored for students who are non-verbal, emerging verbal, and verbal communicators.  Participants will be able to explore hands on communication options for their students in the classroom. 

Important Session Information:


Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 4.5 hours of face-to-face professional development from 9:00am - 2:30pm accompanied by 1.5 hour(s) of outside learning experience.

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date. Please pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session. 

Please bring your own device if possible. 
 

Participants may stay at the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience.

4 hours - TSHA credit approved.
