Using Core Selective Process (C-SEP) to Identify a Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses
C-SEP




Participants will be introduced to the principles underlying the Core-Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP) and the basics of the process. This session will also demonstrate how to identify a pattern of strengths and weaknesses (PSW) using the core-selective approach, yielding diagnostically useful, legally defensible information in a time-efficient manner.  C-SEP training will use a case-study format, discussions, and activities to:

1. Review and Discuss the Current Status of SLD Evaluation in Texas: Critical analysis of current practice and rationale for CSEP
2. Understand basic steps of the Core-Selective Evaluation Process (C-SEP)
3. Review types of scoring and viewing results through multiple lenses 
4. Integrate Data Analysis/Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses-Applying Data to TX policy
