Social Emotional and Sensory Development Strategies for Early Childhood (Birth-PK)




This half day session features two 90 minute breakout sessions covering critical topics in early childhood development, social emotional competence and sensory processing.  Participants will develop their understanding of the importance of building relationships and creating supportive environments to support the social emotional wellness of young children. Additionally, they will learn about the importance of sensory integration in the early childhood classroom and develop strategies to support the sensory needs of all children. 

 


Important Session Information:


The cost for this session includes a $10 materials fee.  Participants will rotate to attend both sessions following the schedule below:

Schedule: 

8:15 - 8:30 Arrival

8:30-10:00 Session A: Sensory Integration for Young Children

10:00-10:15 Break

10:15-11:45 Session B: Promoting Children's Success: Building Relationships

11:45 - 12:00 Wrap Up and Reflect
