Math Academy: Problem Solving & Discourse, Gr. 3
Blended Session




Ramp up the problem-solving in your classroom this year!  Attend this virtual blended session to learn several strategies to increase student achievement in this challenging aspect of math. Discover how mathematical language routines support the needs of all students by increasing comprehension of text and problem structure. See how specific formative assessments help make student thinking visible and learn how math discourse can be increased by incorporating the 5 practices! To be eligible to participate, you must have attended the original 3 day Math Academy.

A stipend of $100 will be provided upon successful completion of the course, including the online independent learning and two virtual face-to-face meetings.



Important Session Information:


This Math Academy session is comprised of three parts:   

March 25, 2019 Face-to-Face Session 9:00-12:00

March 25 - May 14, 2019, Self-paced, required online learning opportunity

May 21, 2019 Face-to-Face Session 9:00-12:00

 All 3 parts must be completed to receive the $100 stipend. 

This session is open only to prior Math Academy participants.
