Social Emotional Storytime: Connecting Children's Literature and Social Emotional Competencies (PK-K)
Blended Session




So much to do in so little time! Do you know the importance of social emotional development in the early childhood classroom but struggle to fit it all in? Join this session to gain an understanding of the importance of using children’s literature to teach social emotional competencies.  In the face-to-face portion of this session, participants will explore hands - on, interactive, and engaging whole group and small group lessons designed around popular children’s books to support development of important skills such as self regulation, coping with strong emotions, and developing relationships with others.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 4.5 hours of face-to-face professional development from 9:00am - 2:30pm followed by a 1.5 hour outside learning experience.

Please note:
Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date.  
Pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session.
