Research indicates the students ability to manipulate numbers is one of the fundamental mathematical concepts which could lead to students' success in the advanced mathematics. Students' ability to understand the concrete concept that an abstract numeral represents, paves the way to the mastery of several other mathematical concepts. In this session, we will discuss, discover, and share methods on how to significantly increase the sense of number awareness in our students.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 4.5 hours of face-to-face professional development from 9:00am - 2:30pm followed by a 1.5 hour outside learning experience.

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date.  
Pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session.
