Spending Your SY 19-20 Entitlement




Using your USDA Foods entitlement…overview of the different options to utilize your entitlement and what is best for your district.

This class is mainly for Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative members, but anyone is welcome. Topics addressed in this training include:

An overview of the USDA Foods program;
A review of each approved option to spend down your district's entitlement;
Comparisons of commodity foods versus commercially purchased foods.
The training will also include a review of how to complete and submit your FDP Contract Packet in TX-UNPS and how to use the Pre-Order Worksheet in ProcessorLink (the software used for product selection for those participants planning to use some or all of their entitlement on USDA foods for further processing).

Important Session Information:


From this class you will take away an understanding of the best approach to spend down your district's USDA Foods entitlement and how to set up your TX-UNPS FDP account based on your options to utilize your entitlement.  You will also gain the knowledge to complete the Pre-Order Worksheet for the selection of end products for SY 2019-2020 as applicable.
