Vision & Hearing Recertification
school year 2019-2020




This is for individuals who have already taken the full course and hold current certification cards. The training is similar to the certification course, with more details given to updates and recent changes.

Bring an audiometer to this training if possible.

Enrollment is limited to 20 participants who must preregister.

Important Session Information:


Vision recertification will take place in the morning and hearing recertification will be right after. The instructor may give you a choice to skip lunch so feel free to bring snacks.

Please bring your certification card(s) with you as the DSHS instructor will need to verify that you are still current at the time of the class. If you cannot locate your card(s), please call the DSHS Vision and Hearing Screening Program at (512)-776-6442 OR email Paul Gonzalez at Paul.Gonzalez@dshs.texas.gov.
