Effective Schools Framework

The Effective Schools Framework overview will provide participants information surrounding best practices that effective schools engage in on a daily basis. The ESF visit will serve as a diagnostic process where artifacts aligned to the five levers will be analyzed. These levers are focus areas that will give momentum to the continuous improvement efforts of any campus. The levers are identified as: Effective Instruction, Strong Leadership and Planning, Well-Supported Teachers, High Quality Curriculum and Positive Culture. This two day workshop will take participants into a deep dive of the levers and the process schools engage in when the complete the ESF diagnostic. This work includes the submission of artifacts and evidence aligned to the levers followed by a pre-visit phone call. The one day site visit, conducted by an ESF facilitator, includes an administrator group interview, teacher group interview, observation of classes and common areas, along with observation of a PLC meeting. The diagnostic piece of the work ends with a face-to-face debrief with the ESF facilitator. Findings lead to next steps which may include foundational work or capacity building packages centered around data driven instruction, culture or action coaching.
