Let’s Talk: Language and Vocabulary Development in Early Childhood (PK-K)




Children’s experiences with language sets the stage for their ability to communicate, develop comprehension, build vocabulary, and become confident readers.  This workshop will explore research regarding language development in early childhood and explore strategies to build children’s oral language, develop vocabulary, and embed language development across the curriculum.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 5 hours of face-to-face professional development from 9:00am - 3:00pm followed by a 1 hour outside learning experience.

Please note:

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date.

Pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session. 

Please bring your own device if possible.

Participants may stay after the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience/assignment.
