A Perfect Pair: Connecting Number Operations and Early Literacy (PK-K)



Most people think of mathematics as separate from language and literacy. This session will help teachers see the important link between early math and literacy activities. Participants will experience ways to use rich children’s literature to develop children’s math vocabulary, launch number investigations, and specifically understand the complexity of number operations and literacy connections.  Join this session to “double” your understanding of math and literacy!

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op can attend at no additional fee.

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12 combining online and face-to-face learning. This 6 hour session includes a brief pre-session activity, 5 hours of face-to-face professional development from 9:00am - 3:00pm followed by a 1 hour outside learning experience.

Please note:

Since this blended learning session includes a brief pre-session activity, the registration deadline for the session ends one week prior to the face-to-face date.

Pay careful attention to the start and end times for the face-to-face portion of this session. 

Please bring your own device if possible.

Participants may stay after the conclusion of the face-to-face portion of the session to begin work on the outside learning experience/assignment.
