Growing Readers and Writers through Workshop Model (K-8)

The interconnected nature of listening, speaking, reading, and writing must be central and explicit to classroom instruction in the new ELAR TEKS. This session will explore the pathway to integrate reading and writing using a workshop model in the ELAR classroom to grow authentic readers and writers. Participants will learn the components of effective workshop model, understand the importance of reading and writing integration and how to seamlessly implement this practice in their K-8 classroom.
