This session will review the concepts, definitions, theory, and application of assessing for specific learning disabilities. 

Important Session Information:


Do you know what Cross-Battery Assessment is? Join this structured workshop as an evaluator who is new to the process of conducting evaluations utilizing Cross-Battery Assessment techniques. This session will provide participants with the basics of Cross-Battery Assessment procedures that support the problem solving approach to identification of a Specific Learning Disability. 

Participants will learn strategies on how to utilize referral information and create an assessment plan to address suspected cognitive deficits that may be impacting a student's performance.  Participants will walk away from this session ready to apply the basic principles of the current methodology of Dual Discrepancy/ Consistency Model and the newly revised software (X-BASS). 

This session is free to all Region 12 School Districts and Charter Schools.  Out of region participants may register beginning 2 weeks prior to the session.
