Autism Incorporated: Putting the Pieces Together

This session will provide an overview of how organizational structure can clarify expectations and reduce anxiety in many students with autism spectrum disorders. This course will discuss the neurological basis of autism spectrum disorders and the connection to structured learning environments. Other topics discussed will include co-teaching practices for paraprofessionals, classroom behavior, and communication difficulties for students with ASD. Strategies discussed will help teachers and paraprofessionals positively impact student success in the classroom.
