This multi-day session is for dyslexia teachers, evaluation personnel, and others involved in the assessment and identification of dyslexia. When a student is referred for a dyslexia evaluation, qualitative and quantitative information gathered by the evaluator is used to drive decision making within the legal framework of either the Section 504 or IDEA process.
This 3-day session will include training on the Dyslexia Handbook, 2018 Update, and administration guidelines and requirements for the GORT-5, WRMT-lll, CTOPP-2, and TWS-5. As the process of being trained to assess for dyslexia includes more than just knowing how to give the tests, participants will also receive basic knowledge in the interpretation of scores, such as standard scores, scales scores, and percentile ranks.
Please bring the following assessment kits and protocols with you to this training: GORT-5, CTOPP-2, WRMT-III, and TWS-5.
