Vision Screening Certification
school year 2019-2020




Participants will be certified to conduct vision screenings within the school district. Participants will receive an overview of rules and forms pertaining to school vision screenings in Texas. Participants will also receive updated information on the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems and abnormalities.

Who May Screen? §37.29. Standards for Screening Tests and Screener Training Courses in Vision and Hearing (c) Individuals who have completed high school and who have successfully completed the department's vision or hearing screening course are eligible to be certified as screeners.


Important Session Information:


Participants will be certified to conduct vision screenings within the school district. Participants will review the state laws, rules, and forms pertaining to school vision screenings in Texas. All will also receive updated information on the diagnosis and treatment of vision problems upon completion. Only high school diploma required to attend.
