Blended Session




Do you use Discovery Education as an educator for streaming media and other digital resources for your classroom?  Great!  Now you need to give Studio a try. This creation and collaboration tool can be used by both teachers and students in grades K-12 to create digital multimedia posters and project boards that include text, images, video, audio, documents, etc.  Teachers can design and assign engaging lesson activities and students can create boards to demonstrate what they know. Content may be added to the boards from within the DE Experience (DEX) or from other sources outside of the DEX. This new tool gives you the ability to create more than one page and to collaborate with others on the poster/project. Come and explore the possibilities with us.

Do not miss the opportunity to be part of this innovative Virtual Learning PD hosted by Region 12. Participants will receive 6 hours of credit for this session. A portion of the session will be held virtually face-to-face via Zoom or another platform, and a portion will occur independently online.

This session will be a virtual training that will take place over a two-week period. You will receive an email inviting you to a Canvas course on June 17, 2020, with a recommended timeline to complete the coursework. On June 24, 2020, there will be a facilitated Zoom work day in order to learn, reflect, and discuss the content, as well as set the next steps for the rest of the learning. The session will close in ESCWorks on July 8, 2020 in order to begin the process of awarding credit.

*Attendance at the Zoom meeting, as well as active engagement throughout the Canvas course, is required to be awarded the full six hours of CPE credit.
