Reading by Design Bridge Training




This training program is exclusively for participants that have been previously trained in the Dyslexia Intervention Program (D.I.P.).  Participants must send an email to rkocian@esc12.net with a request to register for this session and a scanned copy of the certificate of attendance for the Dyslexia Program Basics training that clearly shows the dates of attendance. Approved participants will receive an email with permission to register for this workshop. 

Participants will review best practices in dyslexia intervention as learned in the Dyslexia Intervention Program training and bridge this knowledge to the Reading by Design program. Participants will explore the new material in Reading by Design and take a deeper dive into enhanced program components.

 

Important Session Information:


Participants will review Texas dyslexia laws, current research, as well as best practices in dyslexia instruction. Learn how to deliver daily intervention using Reading by Design, a systematic, explicit, and intensive reading intervention program. Participants will receive the entire Reading by Design program including supplemental resources necessary for small-group instruction. For this intervention to be compliant in Texas public schools, only certified teachers will be able to attend this session (see page 43 of the Texas Dyslexia Handbook Update 2018). In addition, participants must be able to show proof of prior training in DIP or another dyslexia intervention program to attend this Bridge session.
