SB 460 and Digital Citizenship




This training will combine both skills and resources for helping educators understand prevalent diagnoses of mental health conditions in children and best practices for intervention. Participants will also recognize the signs of mental health needs for students including best practices for finding help when a person is in a mental health crisis and how to ask if a person is experiencing suicidal ideation. 

The afternoon component will explore the important tenets of good digital citizenship including: considerations for posting pictures, videos and messages that are appropriate, understanding the forms of cyberbullying, how to consider safeguards for passwords and account access, how to report threats and best practices for social media account use, texting etiquette and more.
