Developing a strong offense in the 3-5 classroom requires knowing what you're up against before you teach a concept or procedure to students!! In this session, you’ll explore high quality math tasks through the lens of a student & uncover misconceptions, partial understanding, and unique student perspectives that will inform your future instruction. Strategies and ideas will be shared to advance student understanding and counter any potential misconception that students often hold. Participants will leave with several high quality math tasks, the instructional know-how to plan for common misconceptions, and solid ideas for tackling them.
