Analyzing the New 9-12 ELAR TEKS & TEKS Resource System




Are you an ELA/R educator in a district which uses TEKS Resource System (TRS)? This session will explore the 7 Strands of the new ELAR TEKS within the TEKS Resource System. In this session, you will analyze the new ELAR TEKS while exploring TRS's curriculum components and ELAR-specific resources that were designed to maximize teaching and learning. 

This session will be formatted similarly to the Analyzing New 9-12 ELAR TEKS training. Districts who utilize TEKS RS system are encouraged to register for the training which addresses TEKS RS, while districts who do not utilize TEKS RS are encouraged to register for the training focused solely on the new ELAR TEKS.

Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members attend at no additional fee.

This session will be a virtual, self-paced training that will take place over a two-week period. You will receive an email inviting you to a Canvas course on June 2, 2020, with a recommended timeline to complete the coursework. On June 9, 2020, there will be a 1-hour Zoom check-in* in order to reflect and discuss the learning, as well as set the next steps for the rest of the learning. The session will close in ESCWorks on June 16, 2020, in order to begin the process of awarding credit. 

*Attendance at the Zoom check-in, as well as active engagement throughout the Canvas course, is required to be awarded the full six hours of CPE credit.
