Commodity Processing for 20-21




Using your USDA Foods entitlement…overview of the different options to utilize your entitlement and what is best for your district.

This class is mainly for Multi-Region Purchasing Cooperative members, but anyone is welcome. Topics addressed in this training include:

An overview of the USDA Foods program;
A review of each approved option to spend down your district's entitlement;
Comparisons of commodity foods versus commercially purchased foods.
The training will also include a review of how to complete and submit your FDP Contract Packet in TX-UNPS and how to use the Pre-Order Worksheet in ProcessorLink (the software used for product selection for those participants planning to use some or all of their entitlement on USDA foods for further processing).

Important Session Information:


This course will walk you through several topics and resources for your PY 2020-2021 Commodities. 

You will review how to set up your contract packet, review best pricing, how to spend your district's entitlement, how to use Processor Link Pre - Order Module and the different delivery methods for processed commodities.

This course is available both classroom style at the ESC or Webinar via Zoom
