This is for evaluation personnel, and others involved in the assessment and identification of dyslexia. When a student is referred for a dyslexia evaluation, qualitative and quantitative information gathered by the evaluation team is used to drive decision making within the legal framework of either the Section 504 or IDEA process.
This is a Four-day session that includes instruction in the following areas:
- training on the Dyslexia Handbook with a concentration in Chapter 3;
- administration guidelines and requirements for the GORT-5, CTOPP-2, TWS-5, and WRMT-III;
- introduction to test and measurement concepts to aid in the interpretation of test results; and
- report writing
Assessment kits and protocols will be required for this training. Please, bring the listed test kits with you.
There is a $10 material fee for the cost of protocols and other training materials.
