The Power of the Comprehensive Needs Assessment in Closing the Gaps

Schools have developed comprehensive needs assessments (CNAs) for years, right? So, why have another session on the  CNA? The flexibility offered by ESSA creates added responsibilities for LEAs and schools. Additionally, Texas Education Code defines a number of requirements. What does that mean for CNA processes and content? What makes a CNA “comprehensive” and how do you keep from drowning in data? The success of your improvement plan greatly depends on the depth and quality of the needs assessment. Is your school doing the same old thing or has your team discovered the secrets of utilizing the CNA as a springboard for closing gaps? Bring your CNA and come build on what you already know. Discover new ideas for creating a powerful comprehensive needs assessment.
