The 86th Legislature yielded many bills focusing on schools, particularly in the areas of school safety and mental health. This session is designed specifically for school leaders as they make important decisions regarding the evolving and far-reaching implications of school and student safety.


Important Session Information:


SB 11 is known as the "Omnibus" school safety bill. This legislation has many components that are evolving and developing and will continue to do so, as school safety will always be a on-going focus for all schools in Texas. In this session, relevant updates will be shared as well as discussion and sharing on each tenet of the bill as it relates to current school safety measures.
