Social and Emotional Learning of Gifted and Talented Students




This workshop will assist teachers as they attend to the social and emotional learning needs of gifted students. Teachers will learn to provide both physical and emotional security around student experiences, and will develop a learning environment that acknowledges the value of students' thoughts, beliefs, cultures, interests, and life situations regardless of individual intellectual ability.

In order to abide by safety and health precautions, we will be working virtually in a variety of ways using our EmpowerED Learning Model. This model is an innovative hybrid learning model, blending both asynchronous, self-paced learning with collaborative synchronous opportunities. Some pieces we'll have you work through on your own and others we'll either work in small groups or individually using Zoom to communicate and discuss.

Our Zoom meeting will take place on Tuesday, 11/03 from 4pm-5:30pm. The Zoom recording will be provided to all registered participants.
