Visible Learning Strategies to Support Social Studies Process Standards

"The discipline of social studies is far more than memorizing dates and facts. It involves the skillful ability to conduct investigations, analyze sources, place events in historical and cultural context, and synthesize various points of view, while recognizing one's own biases." (Hattie 2020) This session focuses on helping the social studies teacher (K-12) with using visible learning strategies to support and scaffold learning associated with the social studies process standards.
