Bloodborne Pathogens Course
Per AHA guidelines

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Precautions Course uses the PACT acronym (Protect, Act, Clean, Tell) and tagline, “Make a PACT, Know How to Act™,” to help school staff learn and easily recall bloodborne pathogens training. Participants learn to:

Protect themselves from blood or blood-containing materials.
Act quickly and safely.
Clean the area that has blood or blood-containing materials.
Tell their supervisor about the incident

Important Session Information:

This course teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials, and what to do if you are exposed. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens was designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as (but not limited to) childcare workers, security personnel, maintenance workers, and school personnel.

To attend this course you must have the capability to attend a Zoom webinar, either by phone, tablet, or computer.

Coordinated School Health Co-op members attend at no additional fee.
