Blended Session




This session will guide participants through a deeper look at IEP development and provide tools to assess and reflect on their current practices.  After a brief review of the legal requirements and recommended best practices for IEP goal development in Texas, participants will apply their knowledge by assessing their PLAAFP for the essential elements and then creating a  Standards-Based IEP goal/objective for critical areas of need. Participants will leave this training knowing:

  • The essential elements of a PLAAFP and Annual Goals and Objectives
  • How to write effective PLAAFPs that create a strong foundation for IEP goals and objectives
  • How to write measurable IEP goals and objectives that align with state standards (TEKS) and address identified critical needs

This session will be held via Zoom. The link will be emailed to participants the afternoon prior to the session.

Please be sure to have a printed copy of IEP paperwork for your next ARD (or two) meeting. We will be working with this information throughout the session and it is imperative for you to have it available. Thank you!
