Blended Session




This session will guide participants through a deeper look at IEP development and provide tools to assess and reflect on their current practices.  After a brief review of the legal requirements and recommended best practices for IEP goal development in Texas, participants will apply their knowledge by assessing their PLAAFP for the essential elements and then creating a  Standards-Based IEP goal/objective for critical areas of need. Participants will leave this training knowing:

  • The essential elements of a PLAAFP and Annual Goals and Objectives
  • How to write effective PLAAFPs that create a strong foundation for IEP goals and objectives
  • How to write measurable IEP goals and objectives that align with state standards (TEKS) and address identified critical needs

Do not miss this opportunity to be part of this innovative Blended Learning PD at Region 12. Participants will receive 7 hours of credit for this session. A portion of the session will be held face-to-face and a portion will occur online.

Please be sure to have a  printed IEP paperwork for your next ARD (or two) meeting. We will be working with this information throughout the session and it is imperative for you to have it with you. Thank you!
