Reading with Pen in Hand: Annotation K-5




Put the highlighter down! Annotation is so much more than colorful highlighting all over the page.  It is a critical strategy teachers can use to encourage students to interact with a text. Join this session to learn how to grow readers by prompting deeper understanding and encouraging students to read with a purpose through creative annotation.


Important Session Information:


Enhanced Curriculum Co-op members attend at no additional fee.

This session will be a virtual, self-paced training that will take place over a two-week period. You will receive an email inviting you to a Canvas course on Monday, March 15, 2021, one week prior to the session start date.  On March 22, 2021, there will be a required 1-hour Zoom from 4:00-5:00 where we will discuss the learning and expectations for the session. The session will close in escWorks on March 29, 2021 in order to begin the process of awarding credit.
